About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel around the world non-stop, discover unseen places, and meet like-minded people.

To destroy the myth that you're always on holiday or earn a stash of money if you're traveling all the time.

ABOUT ME

I have an open mind and a curiosity. I love traveling, experiencing new cultures, trying different lifestyles, and taking pictures. I'm an active traveler who's into nature and outdoor activities such as hiking, trekking, camping, and swimming in the sea.

I'm a digital nomad. So, if you meet me somewhere in this wide world, I'll likely be working and not on holiday, but I'll be free to explore and have adventures at the weekend. If I'm on holiday, it's a different story.

I don't do typical touristy stuff. Partying, clubbing, or grabbing a meal/drink doesn't excite me anymore. I'm more of an introvert, but very talkative around the right people. I prefer one true companion to masses of "friends."

PHILOSOPHY

To move, to breathe, to fly, to float,
To gain all while you give,
To roam the roads of lands remote,
To travel is to live.
(Hans Christian Andersen, The Fairy Tale of My Life: An Autobiography)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Call me old-fashioned if you wish, but I grew up when Couchsurfing was still the real traveler's app. I remain nostalgic about the good ol' days when we used to get together, travel, and share stories of our global adventures.

So I'm couchsurfing not only to find a place to crash but also to meet people to explore places with. Let's rent a car, leave the city behind, visit remote corners of the world, and discover the beauty of nature and tiny villages. I wanna see the unseen every time I visit a new location and learn about different cultures.

Couchsurfing is not a hook-up app, so I'm not looking for one-night stands. If that's all you're after, find me on the relevant apps. I'm sometimes there, too, so it's a different story if we match there.

Interests

My passion #1 is AVIATION. I wanted to be a pilot but couldn't due to poor eyesight. If you're after the same, let's go planespotting and converse about airlines and aircraft in front of a glass of drink.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to the Philippines in August 2016 alone. It was my first solo trip so far away from home. However, I saw stunning places and met incredible people via Couchsurfing who shared their time with me. Before that, I used to travel with friends, but after my trip to the Philippines, I realized that solo travel is liberating and we shouldn't keep waiting for people to see the world. That's why I'm traveling solo now :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the English and Lithuanian languages as I'm a part-time teacher.
I'm eager to learn stories about different countries and cultures.
I can share my ideas, jokes, laughter, smiles, travel experiences, and, if you want, hugs :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Short answer - conversations. I can tell you stories from my travels, both positive and negative, and discuss various topics and share my opinion on them. The crucial thing about Couchsurfing is that you can find like-minded people and make friends worldwide.

Couchsurfing is not a profit-seeking platform. I'll host you for free and never ask for money. If you host me, I'll expect the same, i.e. you'll host me for free, and I'll pay my bills, while you'll pay yours.
