CURRENT MISSION To be present, to be grateful, to see goodness in every person I meet. ABOUT ME I greet the threshold of each day, hoping that I will trust the path that is before me. And I greet you! good guy; compassionate, giving, thoughtful, quiet, spontaneous, adventurous. love the outdoors, animals, trees; NPR; foreign films; big cities, small towns, quiet mountains, clean rivers; well-read (sometimes, I sit in the sun and read and then I am, well.... red!). Age has revealed some truths, but I'm still a boy at heart. healer, contemplative, quaker, buddhist, writer, speaker, spiritual director and a host of other "peaces" that can never explain the hole. PHILOSOPHY Your life is not about you. and... Life is too short for cheap vodka!

watched the sunrise over the gulf of Aqaba (from that view, one can see 4 countries: Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia /// received a blessing from his holiness, the Dalai Lama /// got in my pick-up truck and drove straight from Delaware to New Mexico.... sat up in a mountain for 3 days, then drove back home /// I spend a winter night each year walking the streets of Philadelphia handing out blankets and sandwiches to folks I meet on the street /// I won a bowling tournament when I was 15 /// I was written about (with photo) in an article in the National Enquirer /// And, I live in a barn that was built in 1828 (I know...they only asked for "one" amazing thing!).
