About Me
Learning about the history of a country with its culture truly interests me while visiting new places. What I love about Couchsurfing is that this platform gives us a opportunity to learn from each other and to meet people who we otherwise wouldn’t have. Especially considering that I believe that traveling is quality over quantity, I am looking forward to the experiences that Couchsurfing can offer 🌞

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Pretty much all my life I have lived in Holland. That changed when I took a gap year and traveled Asia for five months. While traveling I met a lot of very warm people who invited me in their lives. Thats when I started to realize how much more interesting traveling can be if you can share your experiences with someone who actually lives in that country/city. How it can completely change your perspective of a place. Less like a tourist, a bit more like a local.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite books are:
The Silk Roads by Peter Frankopan
The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
Non Violent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Having experienced a 10-day silent retreat (vipassana) twice. This opened my eyes to meditation and what effect it can have on myself.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I bring some social flavor to our get-together because of my desire for interesting talks. Especially about cultures, people and history, so open and good discussions are definitely on the table.
Since I enjoy trying new things, especially foods, I am also open to being brought along to a wide range of adventures and experiences. ✌️
