About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See the world and not be so ignorant!
ABOUT ME
I want to have been everywhere! For now just 6 countries and 3 continents! I want to know everything. (that is going to take a while :) ---- Update, now 30 countries and 5 continents... I suppose I will stop counting now.
PHILOSOPHY
Peace and kindness are due to all things. Only a self reliant person is a free person. Knowledge is the key to enlightenment.... enlightenment is the key to personal growth. Wealth is worthless. Anger destroys happiness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to help out, don't much care what I do, just who I do it with.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was using CS with my ex-wife for some time, but I would like to have a profile of my own. If you would like to see our shared references they are on Lisa Andreieva's page.
Interests
I like to read. I play on the computer in my moments of boredom. I would much prefer to be outside doing things with people I enjoy.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch movies. I read prolifically, I prefer science fiction and histories for wasting time and enjoy philosophy, history and science for actually getting something out of a book. For music I like any genre so long as the musicians are technically skilled.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Chased by a bear in the Ocala Forest in central Florida. Coming into Ogden UT from the west at night (a plain of stars!) The Milky Way from the middle of the Atlantic. The mists between the mountains in western Washington state. A Space Shuttle launch at night! Many, Many amazing people, astronauts, surfers, hoboes and one real hero! --- I walked around the Oresund, and across the Netherlands (surprisingly that only took 3 days from the border to the sea) Camped on the beach during a hurricane. Learned how to surf, but not swim.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone has something both to teach and learn. One of the people I learned the most from in my life was completely illiterate. Another couldn't speak in anything but double entendres (my father) So, I have learned 'even a fool knows something' isn't just a trite saying, it's a warning against arrogance!
