About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My "mission"? I've never thought of myself as being on a "mission" before but if I'm to be on one, you'd say I was on a mission to save the planet by endowing the natural world with legal rights and encouraging more people to do more things with less oil!
ABOUT ME
Little bit of a policy and urban structure nerd, I live in a bit of an abstract world of intangible ideas for change to implement sustainability, holding to Schumacher's holy trinity of health, beauty, and permanence. Love riding bikes, self-propelled transport, etc. I live in Mission, BC, am nearing the completion of an undergrad degree in Geography with a focus on the environment and a Economics minor, I like to explore the concepts of intense localization as a response to corporatization and pollution of public commons.
PHILOSOPHY
Not to get too deep and serious here, but we need to look after our fish and our watersheds and appreciate and recognize the things that sustain life and nourish our bodies.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been hosted so warmly by people all across the Fraser River Watershed and likewise hosted others at my shared house in Mission, BC. I look forward to hosting many more people in and around my travels to explore my watershed.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to Couchsurfing, but not to sharing! I've also been hosted by a warm showers cycling host in central eastern BC where we slept in covered wagons surrounded by hummingbirds, and I've met wonderful travellers and cyclists on my journeys mostly in BC.

Music, Movies, and Books
I do a lot of academic reading these days, not nearly enough on a personal basis. I'm reading "Mighty Fraser", love E. Abbey's books, and historical classics such as Thoreau, Emerson, etc. Also Gary Snyder's work.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Answering this question truthfully would qualify...lol. No, seriously, I cycled ~1500 km two consecutive years in the month of August for the conservation of my watershed...the Fraser...
