About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a medical student, which unfortunately means I'm often inundated with work, but we'll definitely grab a bite to eat and I can tell you what to check out at the very least! This does change week-to-week though and I’ll have a good idea a week ahead how much I’ll be able to show you around if you want.
I'm a jack of all trades, master of pun. I love nature, Hot Tamales, and getting to know new people and exploring new places.

PHILOSOPHY
I consider myself a "humanitarian" before all else. I'm enamored with Doctors Without Borders, and hope to work with them one day.
"For perfect love casts out all fear."
Somewhat of an anarchist which is why I dig Couchsurfing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hotels are silly. Locals are cool.
Interests
I love cooking and meeting random people, and cooking with random people. (As co- cooks, not as the ingredients :P)
I'm fascinated by anything medicinal, social, and humanitarian. All of those are combined as my career in EMS and Medicine. I absolutely love what I do. I could (and have) go on for hours about the various calls I've run that are funny, serious, thought-provoking, etc.
Flying is probably my favorite and most way-too-expensive hobby.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Our EMS shifts were 7am-7pm. At 6:45pm one day we got a call for an inter-facility transfer. It was a long day and I was going to stay after, but that's part of the job. Enter "Scooter". "Scooter" had a variety of dementias. Throughout the trip he was talking out of his mind, as you would expect. Why was he called "Scooter," you ask? In his confusion, he was known by the hospital staff to scoot on his butt right off the bed. . . They weren't exaggerating. Within five minutes in the ambulance he was out of two seatbelts scootin' away!
So it had been a long day and I was staying late, so I rested my elbow on my knee, and my head on my hand when I feel him put his hand on my other leg and say in the most lucid voice, "What ever it is, don't worry about it. Everything will become okay."
May not seem all that amazing, but I truly believe that compassion can overpower anything.
