About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Good ol' cleche, See the world

ABOUT ME

I play music, I am currently in college. as soon as thats over i am planning on leaving for some far-off unknown destination to continue traveling from. I have seen too little to have spent as much time in the few places i have.
I was born in San Diego but raised for the most part in Los Angeles. I have lived in Las Vegas, NV Clearwater, FL and where i currently reside, nowhere(La Junta, CO).
I am looking for someone who i can play music with always, and thats as much as i am going to write right now(i have been writing for a week straight it seems... college).

PHILOSOPHY

It is better to be a pessimist and pleasantly surprised, than an optimist constantly disappointed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have yet to really participate. My mom Julia has been a member for a while and we have hosted a few times but that wasn't really me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ariel (i think) from Israel came and showed us some pictures of his travel, he was at about the end of a six month american tour, he came all the way up from peru on a bicycle!
There was also a couple that were making there way through the area who stayed for a night, David and his girlfriend. they were cool. they brought with them a banjo and a mandolin type thing. We played for a bit and they taught me cripple creek (which i have since forgotten).
Thats it

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything by Quintin Tarrentino, Sam Mendez, Terry Gillam, Kevin Smith, as far as titles go there are far to many for me to want to bother writing them, maybe later.

The same names from the genres that everyone else says so, Blues, Indie, some metal, some 80's rock, some jazz, very little hip hop, less country, Psychadelic rock, and almost nothing with too much of a MIDI canned sound. I am an anologue guy somewhat. I will name some that may not seem obvious though: Gogol Bordello, Tweak Bird, Yo La Tango i have been into lately, everything John Paul Jones, Danny Elfman(that is to say most of Tim Burton's sound tracks), the list goes on and on and etc

i am somewhat ashamed to admit but, i am not much of a reader. I like Bukowski, Frost, Kerouac, but i just don't enjoy for the most part sitting there with a book like so many you see at Starbucks, or curled up on a couch under their favorite blanket.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw a man eat a whole watermellon in one bite.

that was a lie.

I am sure i have seen amazing things i have taken for granted, as i can't think of anything.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn how to express the thing that i enjoy about observing and learning things for myself.

This part

there is something distinctly missing in all of media; it may just be a lack of immagination on my part, the parts you don't see. maybe it's the things that a person thinks about during the parts that are implied in plays, books, movies, that is really who a person is. it's one of those thoughts that are incomplete. I would like to become more experienced in life and either finish the thought, or find something even more ponder-worthy.

Something i could teach?
Success is a matter of timing. that sounds good for now.
At first i wrote
Trust should be lost not earned
but that implies that i will prove myself untrustworthy, so trust me now and regret it later.
