HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host people in my house in Pampanga, Philippines and bringing them to some interesting spots in this part of the Philippines and to some communities where they can interact with the locals. While I have hosted a number of surfers in my place, I have never surfed in another person's couch. But in time, I will join travels and surf with people who have connected and surfed with me pleasantly in my place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I read about couchsurfing in 2010 in a flight magazine while traveling. I liked the idea of meeting people, discovering new perspectives, learning culture though interaction and simply having fun with new found friends so I decided to sign up. It was only in March 2013 that I logged in again after receiving my 1st couch request thru my email. I eventually started hosting people from different countries:
Slovakia - KAMIL (my first couchsurfer)
Poland - Sabina and Lukas (most memorable CS experience)
Portugal - Alex
Australia - Allison
Spain - Gerard (coolest, funniest, and friendly couch surfer)
Germany - Svenn (youngest couchsurfer I hosted - 20yo)
Germany - Moritz (my vegan experience)
Argentina - Alvaro and Laura
Czech Republic - Krystof
Czech Republic - Stanislav
Spain - Pablo and Bea
Russia - Roman
Slovakia - Vlado
Taiwan - Yaxin
Malaysia - Firdaus (shortest couchsurfing - 1 hour)
Indonesia - Nisa and Esti
China - Peng and Zhen

Spent 4 days in Semporna, Malaysia with 5 photographers and had an amazing experience doing island hopping to meet and photograph the boat people of this place.
