COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before the world wide web I had my thumb for hitch-hiking and a pack to throw on a freight train at the end of the season. Sometimes I met nice people who said sleep here: in my yard, on my floor, would you like a coffee or something to eat? Sometimes it was cold and I stayed under overpasses and ate tortillas. I liked both.

These days I don't get out as much but you can sleep here.

Books: East of Eden (anything by Steinbeck), A Lost Lady, The Bhagavad Gita, Das Kapital, Knott's Handbook for Vegetable Growers, Slaughterhouse Five, Plants of the Pacific Northwest, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, 1984, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Cavedweller, seed catalogs, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles (though it's been a while). Can't find my Ford Truck Repair Manual anywhere.
