About Me

I'm a young professional from the northeastern US with a background in chemistry. I currently work at a large software company where I am able to work remote for extended periods of time. I used to travel a lot for work, but took a break during covid. Now I'm trying to make up for lost time.

I am very active and enjoy meeting new people. I love telling stories both mine and those of people I've met. Athletically I regularly run(love hate relationship), rock climb, surf(only recently), and aimlessly wonder through nyc.

I read a lot, exclusively sci fi and fantasy. For the same reason I love to travel to new places I love to read, to experience new places, cultures, etc. I am always accepting book recommendations, but I have a long backlog

Covid gave me a lot of time on my own to think. Across hundreds of hours of debates with myself, on a whole range of philosophical topics, I discovered that thinking about the point of everything can be incredibly grounding in an evershifting and uncertain world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love frugal traveling and encouraging the same in others. Worldliness is also very important to me, so I see it as important to interact with as many possible people from as many places as possible.

It's really easy to lose sight of what makes your current town or city great. Inviting people into your life with fresh view points on it is a great way to always love where you live.
