About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am simply on a mission to enjoy life

ABOUT ME

I think they would tell you I am friendly and outgoing and enjoy laughing. They might also say I am fairly well read, a bit liberal, love food, travel and my boxer, Duke. They would tell you I love to talk, to listen and enjoy interesting people, and that I have done a fair amount of traveling across the US, the Caribbean and a bit in Central America. I like to take pictures and very much enjoy sharing life's stories and lessons.

PHILOSOPHY

So much to experience--so little time. Take people as they are rather than make them what you want them to be.

Interests

When I was younger I was ready to do, and did, most anything. Now that I am older I have learned to enjoy seeing things through the eyes of others and now find that as intriguing as doing things myself. I like learning--almost anything--and find that all people can teach me something, even, as Confuscius said, even if it is what not to do! A great book can still move me, as can blues, jazz and Bach. I have a few wonderful friends and I try and treasure each day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On an extended trip out west I rounded a curve and there was Yosemite valley stretched out before me. I had to stop and stare a while. I don't know that I'll ever seen anything like it again.

On a pier in St. Martin at 4:00 AM the sky was so stunning that I could only gape in wonder at its majesty.

It took more than a moment, but on a small piece of land I lived on I had a pond dug out and dammed in a ravine that had held nothing but weeds and discarded junk. Watching it fill, the new plant, animal and bird life come to visit, and seeing the fish I stocked grow was very fulfilling. I hated to leave it and still miss it.
