About Me

Born and raised in France. I moved over to the United States (by accident) for work and have been exploring North America. Unfortunately I have not traveled much in the USA lately.

I came to the USA by chance in 2006 ... and I am still here. I used to juggle ... I do not really do it anymore, but jugglers are more than welcome! People touring on a bicycle are welcome too.

Morning person.

Surfers who offer to cook get priority :-) Some offered and they did it. I really enjoyed it as well as my other guests for the dinner. Thank you Wenting!

Dislikes: people who leave my house with the pillows and the bed sheets all over the bedroom. Just strip the bed sheets or put the sheets back on the bed. Hair in the bathroom: just pick them up if there are lots of them on the floor. I had long hair too a long time ago, I was able to do it. I am not a hotel or your maid. You can book an Airbnb-my place for instance :-) if you are not willing to clean up after yourself.

That said, you are very likely to be asked to put new bed sheets, use the vacuum cleaner in the bedroom and clean the bathroom.

I used to not give directions about checking out. It is basic courtesy, just as leaving a little handwritten note just saying "Thank you!" I may also ask you to leave my house when I leave. Too many keys lost or not returned. Last: please, if you contact me, start with "Hi Xavier, the French Toast", and write something so that I know you read my profile :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used Couchsurfing many years ago when I went to New York in 2009. Also, a good friend of mine used it and I met nice people when they were visiting Nola. It is always interesting to meet with good people! Now it is my turn to return the favor.
