À propos de moi

Yaki: I have been a part of the couchsurfing community since 2005! I'm not a newbie but I like trying new things and meeting new people. I host from time to time. I am using this profile mostly for travel and in hopes of staying connected to my people. Olivia and I live simple in Northfield, MA and travel often to long island to support family. We have diverse genders, so ignore the designation couchsurfing so rudely picked and won’t let us adjust. We got tired of verifying accounts that couchsurfing messed up, so now we just start new ones when they change/lose our password and refuse to help restore. Even with all of that, Yaki is a fan or couchsurfing and loves to interact with souls.

NOTE: the 1001 previous profiles paid money to be called "verified" as was this one.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

The best way to travel is with a full belly and a rested body!

Centres d'intérêt

I enjoy sporting games especially rugby, cartoons, languages, riding motorcycles, and being nice to other people's dogs (that last one was for 6-year-old child).

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

We’re both eclectic and natural, so we like meditation, Reggae, hip-hop, pop, classic rock, contemporary, and gospel choir! The first grader is fond of trucks

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Yaki: I rode my motorcycle from Monterrey, CA to Columbia, SC. I volunteered for Katrina Relief, Tsunami Relief SE Asia (lived there 2 years), and Flood Floyd
Olivia: natural childbirth at home at age 45, intentional single parent. Before that was a 5 day camping on a deserted beach in Mexico

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

There's a small, private room with futon downstairs. There's always a long line to the toilet shared with 4 adults and 1 child. We have tents for groups and extension cord for your fan/chargers/whatever.

The house is tiny and full. This is NOT an official ADA house, but it's possible to get someone into the ground level living/kitchen as we have a ramp. Please know that we have children and be approved for such a residence before requesting, clean records only. That said, there's space in the tents for groups, but know that there is NO public transportation. So if you're on foot, Lyft/Uber is your only option if you can get a driver to come out this far, but there is parking for your personal vehicle. ALLERGEN ALERT: dogs, cats, timothy hay, rabbits, peanut products, and a small child with a bearded dragon. We do not smoke, have an elder in underpants and prefer others not smoke on the premises.

We can direct you to an unlisted waterfall and loan our 12' canoe out to guests for a 6 minute car trip to the CT river. We also have chickens outside, so fresh eggs & toast whenever you need it.
