About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Curiosity

ABOUT ME

I usually work at day time. I work at my own software company for 8 years. Sometimes if I can arrange the things at work, I can arrange some time in weekdays for being out or being together. I like sharing ideas, and learning something everyday. As much as I have my free time, I try to go around Istanbul, and learn Portuguese and Spanish. I am interested in South America since my childhood. I also like cooking and learning local food of places I visit. I'm not a crazy community or party people, I like smaller groups.

PHILOSOPHY

Learning as much as I can. I am an autodidact. Learning by doing, finding or going to the source.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I'm out I haven't used CS yet, I usually don't make plans besides departure and arrival. I preferred using CS for hosting people. For me CS is for sharing the ideas and breaking the barriers of prejudices and cliches (if possible) personally around the world. Taking humans above nationalities, beliefs, gender, etc.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can participate mostly hosting people as much as I have free time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only had 3 guests until now, and all were interesting.

Interests

learning, music, theatre, opera, reading, movies

Music, Movies, and Books

Music (Jazz, Classical)
Theatre (Writing)
Reading (almost everything)
Movies (Almodovar fan, mostly European movies)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I only went to South America until now besides ex-Yugoslavia. My visits there were amazing. I stayed with local families in different cities and states. It was a great opportunity to learn about the "common" people living there. Indeed this is what I am looking for.

In Brotas (Sao Paulo) I could beat my fear of height doing "tirolesa". It was an amazing moment for me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- good time cooking local food together
- being out to for local food
- some daily Turkish language
- ideas
- co-working in need
- my books about the city and the historical and artistic albums of Istanbul

P.S.: I have problem with loud environments so unfortunately I cannot join for the loud parties. Sorry.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Lebanon, Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Ukraine

Countries I’ve Lived In
