About Me

Disclaimer: If you send me a couch request, please don't send the same message again via facebook or friend me there. It won't change my schedule or make me want to host you more, so please just stick to this platform here - that's what it was made for...

What I love...
... warm humid weather
... reverse rain, when the streets are so heated up that the rain condensates right after touching the ground
... good food (loads of it)
... hence also cooking
... collecting shells at the ocean
... smokey mountain chains
... the smell of dusty pavements after a summer rain
... wine sauces
... friends
... back rubs
... working with wood and building furniture
... arts & crafts (no scrapbooking)
... thinking and swimming against the stream
... fighting and reuniting with a beer afterwards
... parrots

What I dislike...
... prejudice
... unpunctuality and unreliability
... beijing ducks
... curry, kidney beans and beetroot (because I'm allergic to all of these)
... psycho cats

Things I haven't decided on yet...
... the fact that I can organize my desk however many times I want, it still looks the same after a day
... the creative chaos in my head

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling for me is never just about going other places and continue the same routines you do at home. It's more about diving into a different cultures and traditions, may they be of whatever kind. This to me is the beauty of couchsurfing, because what better way to do this than by meeting locals and have them welcome you into their daily life. This way, you learn more about other people, take more from a trip than a few snapshots at touristy places, memories that you can't sum up in a single photo.
