Music, Movies, and Books

Classical music and dance .

Movies are dreams I see with eyes wide open. That’s what I do. I watch movies to shut out the voice inside me for an hour or two. I set sail for another existence leaving behind the whirlpool of funk, noise and broken air-conditioning. The allure of undiscovered places is irresistible as it is fascinating. Over the years, I have discovered many places, beautiful and captivating, full of life and spring. I have brought back shiny postcards to remind myself of the journey… So come, sit by me and enjoy the dream I see.

1- Swadesh

When I was watching the movie I felt naked and uneasy — as if a billion blank eyes were staring at me. Something shifted inside me when I witnessed Haridas' misery in the movie. A poor weaver who changed his profession to farming for a want of better life was ostracized by the villagers and denied water for his crops. All he could offer his land owners was suffering and shame. For the first time I realized how disconnected I was from the real India. All those faces surrounding me felt distant and anonymous. In a way, the story of Swades was a poignant journey of self discovery for me as well as the NRI protagonist in the movie. The last scene where the protagonist, having finally made the decision to stay back in India, is shown drenched in sweat and soil after defeating a fellow villager in a wrestling match. This, in my opinion, shows the depth of writer’s imagination. It captures the true essence of homecoming, to the place and people we love.

2- Titanic
Titanic wants me to grow young again. Every time I see the movie, I dream of climbing up the ship railing with my girlfriend, grabbing her arms and extending them out. I feel the cold air on my face as I share an intimate moment of warmth in her embrace. I know it is stupid. But when was love not stupid. Such is the romantic power of this movie, the dream never get tiring, repetitive or old. It is has been 22 years since the release, but my feelings haven’t aged a day. Titanic the most romantic movie I have ever seen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I first had to answer this question, I stumbled and could not reach anything. Now is the time I want to think about and discover.
At the beginning of my word, I must say that I am an ordinary person without any special or unusual skills. If someone looks at my life, they will not see anything special there. I do not have any huge achievements, and no great discoveries. In my twenties, I have my own family, my own work ,. I have an amazing life!
When I think of one thing I can be proud of, I think about my view of life. The most impressive thing I have - I do not regret anything I've done.
I'm not an ideal person, of course. I made a lot of mistakes, but I do not feel sorry for any of them.
If you ask me if I want to start learning English soon if I have a chance, I said yes. If you ask me, if I wanted to start traveling and discover the world earlier, I said - yes. What if I want to be more courageous in school? Definitely did. If you have an opportunity, you may have chosen another specialty. That's what I want ,. Maybe you've started your own business instead of working for a man for over 10 years. I wanted to do a lot of things differently, if I had a possibility.
But if you ask me if I will change my life if possible, I say - No, I will say, I do not regret that I believe those people who failed me. I certainly do not regret all these stupid things that I do not continue and continue to do.
This is my life. I like how someone I am now. This person can only become because of all my mistakes and all my experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

You answer this in the same way you might at school or a camp where you'll meet like minded individuals and you want to establish some common ground before meeting face to face. Your answer to this question also contributes to your likeliness to be hosted by other surfers.

Sit down and think about what you can teach people that they would also want to learn. Can you teach:

A language?
How to cook a special dish?
How to juggle?
How to slack line?
Generally you'll want to include something you can do. Most Couchsurfing experiences aren't centered around learning how to read or write or study better. They're interactive. Think about the things you've done well and think about how you could show someone else to do them.

The learning part is a little more difficult, but it should be in the same vein as the teach answer. Do you want to learn:

A language?
How to play piano?
How to fly a plane?
How to ride a unicycle?
How gravitational wave detectors work?
Again, you'll want to include the things you want to learn to do. You can be a bit more fanciful or outrageous with this part though. You never know what your Couchsurfers might be into.

Finally, the things you can share might be similar to what you can teach, but if you're a host this might also be a place for you to talk about some local experiences you might have a in or some special knowledge about. As a surfer you might not have much to share except a positive attitude and open mind. That's usually enough anyways.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Exchange skills and cultures Learning from the stranger and getting to know new food . And different cultures

Countries I’ve Visited

Israel, Jordan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates

Countries I’ve Lived In

Palestine
