About Me

We are a couple from China 🇨🇳

【Now we have completed our studies in the UK and are living in Hangzhou, China.】

❄️Last winter we went to: Italy🇮🇹Austria🇦🇹 Hungary🇭🇺 Czech 🇨🇿 France🇫🇷
☀️Last summer we went to France🇫🇷 Netherlands 🇳🇱, Belgium🇧🇪Germany 🇩🇪 Spain🇪🇸Portugal 🇵🇹
🥚In the Easter holidays, we journey north to explore: Sheffield🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿York🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Newcastle🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Edinburgh🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and Northern Ireland

👫We both love life and love adventure, backpacking, and exploring new things. We love to exchange interesting experiences and amazing adventures with people from all over the world

About 👨🏻(Yanwei aka Evan): I like to study coffee ☕️ and barbecue 🍖, and I am very talkative. Although this year is the first time for me to go abroad and I need to practice my English a lot, I am bold and love every chance to communicate with people. Being an Uber🚗 driver is my favorite job. Because for me, I love driving and every time I pick up a new passenger, I get to talk to them about something interesting, which for a social person like me is the perfect job!!!!!

About 👸🏻(Yifei-sissi): I like cooking👩🏻‍🍳 and all kinds of spicy food 🌶, I am introverted and not as talkative as YanWei, but I am clever and like to help others💆🏻. For example, when I volunteer for Marie Curie's organization, I feel most proud because we have raised 130 pounds💰 in just two hours. The money can help the charity take care of the dying patient for 76 hours, so "we should love our loved ones as ourselves" 💕

When we finish our studies and return to China🇨🇳 to stabilize, hopefully, we can also share the house with those who need help and travel, but now it seems that it will take some time to realize.

For us, new things are the medicine of life!! we hope to exchange different life stories with more sofa owners 🎆!

📝Thanks to the friends who helped us💕

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

📍We are passionate about exploring the world and meeting new people, and Couchsurfing seemed like a perfect fit for us. Our goal wasn't just to find a free place to stay, it was a great opportunity to connect with locals in a way we didn't think a hotel could provide!!!!

📍Experience the local culture

Living with the locals means we can see the most real side of a city🌇. The hosts would share their favorite sights and foods with us, and we thought it was an insider tip you wouldn't find in any guidebook, it was a treasure trove!!!!

📍Make friends around the world

We wanted the idea of building a global network of friends. Couchsurfing brings people from all walks of life together, and we'll have amazing conversations and great experiences with hosts and fellow travelers. These wonderful links made our trip richer and more meaningful, which we never wanted before we went abroad!!!!

📍Learning and growth

For us, travel is about learning and growing. Each host will teach us something new, whether it's a local recipe, their language, or their perspective on life. It's a great way to expand our horizons, and seeing the world will make us more open and inclusive, which is incredibly important to us!!!!!

📍Affordable and sustainable travel

More affordable ways to travel means we can explore more places. We think this is a more sustainable way to travel!!!!

📍Create lasting memories

Some of our best travel memories are couchsurfing experiences. From talking late at night to exploring new places together, these moments are priceless. We also like to receive visitors when we return to our own country and share with them our place of survival!!

📝In short, we joined Couchsurfing with the hope of connecting the world in a deeper, more connected way -- all while creating memories with the people we met.
