CURRENT MISSION

I'm heading back to Shanghai after a long traveling stint through Russia, Turkey, and the US.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in the US (Louisiana). I spent about six years in China (Beijing and Shanghai). After I return to Shanghai, I want to improve my Chinese level and do a business-related internship. In a year or two, I hope to either be working in China or studying (perhaps Business Informatics).

PHILOSOPHY

I often feel like I'm a boring person. So, the best philosophy for me is probably the following quote by Mark Twain: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't than the ones you did do. So, throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

1. I've experienced Chinese New Year in China a few times. In China, I think the laws regarding how powerful fireworks can be are pretty lax, so at midnight on Chinese New Year in cities like Beijing and Shanghai, it sounds like a war is going on when millions of people suddenly begin simultaneously lighting fireworks.
2. I have removed the brain from an alligator on more than one occasion.
