About Me
(Jan 2015) I'm still at the stage of discovering myself and trying to understand myself better. So describing myself is quite a challenging task. However, I think I will always forever be in this stage. I just might get to know myself better along the way :)
(Updated March 2016) I signed up to this site hoping that I would encounter people that can help me discover myself & find my purpose in life. I came out on the other side totally gobsmacked and grateful for all the stories and rich experience shared with my hosts and guests, whom with some I laughed & cried with. I am forever grateful that I encountered these amazing people and they will always be a part of me wherever I go :)
______
I love the fun and good things in life:
Being gay (literally and figuratively), dance til I drop, good food, exploring new things, humour, letting my hair down (due to my Asian's genes it's quite hard to put my hair up anyway), etc etc...
But I also enjoy my quiet time and being a creature of habit: going to the gym, self-introspection, reading, watching good movies etc etc...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just joined quite recently but already found that this is something that I would enjoy very much. My first and second guests left a deep impression in my heart. I'm glad I joined this site.
We had 4 stay requests in January already which is "whaat?? Bournemouth in winter time??
But then came February (which is the month when we are travelling a lot) and the requests quadrupled!
It definitely made me appreciate my new hometown better!
People and their stories fascinate me. I'm an Audio Visual Learner so this is the perfect way for me to learn about life.
Also, I met somebody on couchsurfing that definitely has influenced my life in the way that I never expected. So this site definitely means a lot to me.

I throw away a lot of inuendos and witty comments. You have been warned ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Anything that catch my heart and contagious. But to elaborate: Pop, Soul, Jazz, Modern Swing, Emo, a bit of Rock, some R&B, chill-out, Dance and Oldies ( I might miss some)
Movies:
Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind (forever!) Interstellar, and Her (just discovered this amazing movie on April 6th 2015!!)
TV Series:
Six Feet Under, Looking, Heroes (up until Season 2 1/2), VEEP, Modern Family, Big Bang Theory, Full Metal Alchemist, GTO.
Okay I don't want to sound so dramatic, but I just watched a new series last week (November 2015) up to season 3 so far (It's a TV series marathon. Please don't judge) and it totally changed my life perspective. In a whole different way. With a big bang. A very very big bang.
And the series is called "House of Cards".
Books:
Hector's Journey and The Pilgrimage (needless to say Harry Potter too)
Ruby Wax: The Sane New World
And as an Asian, one simply has to mention manga: Death Note, One Piece, Kungfu Boy, Dragon Ballz
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I would say skydiving but it seems like a long time ago.
Currently the one thing that I find amazing is hosting and sharing time with my guest from Couch Surfing, a new and great experience!
Actually, the most amazing thing I've done in 2015 is achieving my 2014 resolutions! :)))
Okay, if I have to choose one, it would be my recent skiing experience. It's because I've never skied before! And all I can say is it's an awesome experience
Teach, Learn, Share
The more you share the more people open up to you. The more people open up to you, the more you learn about life.
It's the people that make the city. It's the people that I meet that shape me to be the way I am today
New quote I just read and I really love it!! (1 May 2015):
People will forget what you say or what you do but they will never forget how you made them feel - Maya Angelou
What I Can Share with Hosts
accommodation and insights of Bournemouth in return, An insider or (and) tour guide to Indonesia by Yvan, Asian Fusion Cuisine by Chef Yvan (hot & spicy!! But doesn't always have to be), and much more!
