I am an English teacher looking to get a local's perspective wherever I go! I love to see new places and meet new people. I truly believe that you can learn something from everyone, no matter what their age, religion, experience, etc. Everyone has something special to share.

Because it's a fast track to getting to know a place like a local and you can meet new people! Let's face it, no one knows a place like the people who live there. Though I am a tourist, I would rather experience a truer representation of the places I go. Hopefully I can return the favor to whoever lets me stay with them when I move back to the states!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I like all kinds of music but especially Jazz, Hip Hop, Soul, R&B, and Raggae. Really open to whatever though.

I love to read! A few books I read recently that I really like are: A Brief History of 7 Killings by Marlon James, Life of Pi by Yann Martel, The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz, and The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.

My favorite TV shows at the moment are Game of Thrones (of course right?), The Wire, Breaking Bad, Black-ish, and Atlanta.

I learned a new language, lived in a country I never knew existed, and survived without running water or electricity for 2 years. It was the best experience of my life!
