Overview
About Me
My passions are social justice, environmental conservation and music. The world we live in is amazing and I want to protect its natural beauty and insure that all people can enjoy it. Music is the international language for me and I have spent many years singing.
Whether I am sitting at home doing research on subjects that excite me or outside trying new things and exploring the city, I like to always challenge myself and learn more about the world around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing for two reasons, to meet new people, and to help myself and others travel the world. Everyone has a story to tell and each person is unique, and the more I learn about different people, the more excited I am to keep learning more.
In my quest to travel the world, there are so many things you can only learn from locals living in a city. In this way I hope to be a resource to others and tap into the vast knowledge that everyone else has to create a community of sharing and cooperation!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I sang in the 2013 Latvian Song Festival with my choir from the University of Washington. We were part of a 14,000 person choir singing traditional (and not so traditional) folk songs celebrating the beauty of music and the freedom, strength, and perseverance of the Latvian people. Being in such an intimate and nationally appreciated event taught me a lot about the pride of nationalism and how people can be so content with less.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I know a lot about urban planning, music, and like to question everything. By hosting me you will have a person who is genuinely interested in learning all you have to teach me and sharing the knowledge I have with you so we can both grow as people. I am clean and won't take up much time or space and will always cook a meal or clean dishes for someone if they cook!
