I like to have a good time and I try not to take life too seriously. I enjoy rock climbing, reading the New Yorker, a Sunday cup of coffee, an evening beer and stirfriday. In reality, I spend most of my time studying as I'm a senior biology major at Florida Atlantic University. I'm not sure what is in store for me as far as my future but I've explored teaching, health, and wildlife biology.

I love to talk about politics and I stay pretty up to date with the news. Big Jack Johnson fan although banana pancakes are not my thing. I've lived briefly in Wisconsin, Arkansas, Washington DC, Arizona and most interestingly in the Alaskan Arctic!

Fun fact, I am pretty bad at Chinese and Spanish. I love writing, or more precisely drawing Chinese characters.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've wanted to go couch surfing for quite some time but never had a good trip to make it happen. I'm visiting St. Augustine on Oct. 19-21 for the Audubon Florida Assembly. The Audubon Society is this group of wildlife nonprofit that tries to protect the habitat that birds and other wildlife depend on. I got started in the organization as a volunteer saving sea turtle hatchlings from going the wrong way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked on the 2012 Barack Obama Reelection Campaign just out of high school. I started as a volunteer and eventually I joined the staff! I worked as a field organizer, which is essentially a volunteer coordinator. My volunteers and I registered voters, knocked on the doors and did everything we could to make sure that Obama had 4 more years. I won't ever forget the crazy hours me and my coworkers worked or any of the inspiring stories our volunteers told.
