About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission today is to travel the world with my wife for one and a half years. Our main objectives are culture exchange and voluntary work.
ABOUT ME
I am 36 years old and one of the things that I like about myself the most are the great number of friends that I have. Throughout my entire life since my high school times I have the pleasure of having so many great people in my life. One of the things I like the most is to do a traditional Brazilian barbecue on weekends and gather all my friends. These are always great times when we can eat good meat, drink a couple of beers and just talk and laugh all day long! In the Brazilian culture people are always very open and friendly and they like the enjoy the presence of their friends until late at night.
I also love to travel around the world and usually I am able to do one international trip a year. When I was 17 years old I went to live for one year as a exchange student in Oregon,USA, there I started to get the taste of culture exchange, learning a new language, meeting people from entirely different backgrounds and try to learn from a different experience and perspective of life. I believe that this is one of the things that I enjoy the most in life. In my last year in collage I went to Japan for 1 month for a culture exchange program from the University of Okayama where I felt in love to the Japanese traditions specially for their great respect for their elderlies and to the community.
My work in the sales area is very rewarding for me because in the 14 years that I having been a salesman I had the opportunity to build great trust relationships and friends. I believe that the work in comercial area allows you to learn a lot from the long experience of great business men that build their companies from the ground up. You got to admire when you see the great challenges that had o be overcome.
Also as most Brazilians we love to go to the beach on weekends, we live around 200 km from the beautiful south coast of Brazil. At the beach I enjoy playing racquetball, riding bicycle , walking on the sidewalk next to the ocean, and just hang around in the sand or in the water.
At home we love to watch movies and to cook. We enjoy also going to the gym for a little workout, Mirella is much happier about it than me but once I get there I enjoy it.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that aside from some diference people are just about the same all over the world. I believe that sooner or later because of the internet we are going to see our world as if it was one big country. After all there we have to work together for many of our world problems. I think that people are essentially good and apart from the different religions we all want to live in a clean, sustainable, with opportunities for everybody and justice for all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are boarding on a journey and I would love to be a ambassador of Brazil in the countries we go to.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None so far, I just recently heard about it. The closest I've got to couch surfing was 15 years ago when we had a Canadian and afterwards an American exchange student to stay at our home for a month each.
Interests
Culture exchange, meeting new friends around the world and show a little bit of the Brazilian culture. I love to talk about religion, economy and the printing business.
