ABOUT ME

I started travelling when I was 19 and never looked back.
I was living in a tipi in northern B.C. and then built my own home 25 years ago. It was a great life style and I feel blessed. But all things must pass, and now I am on the road again. I have been traveling for 6 years now, from the Caribbean, to Mallorca, Vietnam Egypt and Germany. I am now into Scuba diving. It is my my passion, I can make money while I travel and stay in warm climates. It is something I had thought about plenty of times while feeding the wood fire, as the temperature plunged to -40C in my dome home in the bush.
So don't dream it, do it

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well I have been traveling around for 30 years now, with only a few official couchsurfing experiences so far. But plenty of beds, floors, couches, haybarns, sheds, tents, sailboat decks, lofts, etc.and the odd WOOFER placement

Books I like..Sci-Fi, Biographies, Travel Stories, Stanger in a Strange Land, The Alchemist, Siddharta, The Drifters, Lord of the Rings, Favorite authors are Terry Pratchett and Jasper Fforde. Music I like..Rock and Roll, Blues, Reggae, Indie, Cuban/Latin, some punk, but really anything that is good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well lets see, I was chased by a Grizzly bear and it's two cubs on my way home once. It was so close it was schnotting and schnorting on my fingers. We just stared into each others eyes, me repeating the phrase "be cool, be cool" and to this day she's had the most beautiful brown eyes I have ever seen. But it's a long story, told over a bottle of beer or three.
