Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Update:
I am temporarily living in Syracuse, NY. I am a lucky Fulbright scholar who had the chance to relocate to teach my native language, at a university. So for now, here I am in Syracuse, trying to travel with my boyfriend as much as possible whenever we find some time.
***
I may not be able to host anyone in my place in İstanbul as I've been living with my family for a while and dealing with some serious health problems. But I can meet up with travelers who visit Istanbul and help them get the taste of what living in Istanbul feels like.
Though I am 33, it hasn't been a long time since i started travelling abroad. The reason was mostly financial, sometimes lack of time or sometimes some family issues. But i have started! 2 years ago it was Barcelona where I stayed with a friend and lived the city like a local. Last year it was first Amsterdam, then Italy (Rome, Venice, Florence). I want to experience what locals do. I don't wanna be a traveler but feel the city like a local. So, here i am!
