About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Not to grow up

ABOUT ME

Heck...it´s weird to describe oneself....well...I try...maybe by describing an example of a perfect day for me...it would start with a huge long breakfast with a litre of coffee, newspapers and together with all my five flatmates (never happens). And it would continue with an extensive bike ride in the outskirts of Berlin or with some rockclimbing or swimming. I am really into various kinds of outdoor sports. The afternoon of my perfect day in Berlin I would spend in a park such as Görlitzer Park or Mauerpark doing a barbecue with friends or simply watching people. In the evening I would enjoy a nice little soul or singer-songwriter concert followed by a decent Berlin club night.
But a perfect day for me could also be at work, at least if all my experiments go well (never happens). I´m quite into my job, which is doing research in the field of biochemistry.
Actually, a perfect happy day can take place in various settings and in uncountless different ways. In fact I think it´s the people you meet who make your day, not that much what you´re doing. Probably that´s why I joined couchsurfing: To meet nice open-minded people, who make my day while traveling and whose day I can enrich in return of course! See you :-)

PHILOSOPHY

Sounds easier than it is: Try the best for the future, be grateful with what you get in the present and don´t regret anything from the past.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hmmm ... let´s see ... since I´m not able to host at the moment ... I´m smiling and I´m present at parties and other CS gatherings...lalala...
But seriously: If I can help you with anything else than a couch in Berlin I´ll be very happy to do so.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a few people in Berlin and crashed on some couches/beds/floors in South America. But mainly I took people out for a drink or partying. I hope to be able to host more in the future. So far I truly had only fun and very interesting experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Nachtzug nach Lissabon (Pascal Mercier); Märchenmond (Wolfgang Hohlbein); everything of Erich M. Remarque because of his great ironical language; some badly written pages of Ken Follett can be brilliant if I´m not in a thinking mood

Movies: Erbsen auf halbsechs (Lars Büchel); Tuyas Hochzeit (Wang Quan´an); everything of Quentin Terrentino is a masterpiece

Music: Ska, Rock, Reggae, Soul

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stayed at a CS place in Puerto Natales. The family had a dog with only 3 legs left, which ran faster than me. That was amazing!:)
