Overview
About Me
I am beginning to explore the world more now, after a long period of self introspection and healing that lasted several years. I love the healing arts, artistry (dance and painting -- I can spend hours on Saatchi Art.com looking at paintings), and have taught children grades K-12. I once travelled through Italy and France awhile back, and felt right at home with the Italians, especially. Best memory is of Luca using his sewing machine at the dinner table to mend his disco pants, while dining at late hours. I have also worked in the motion picture industry briefly, but did not like the long hours, and was gaining too much weight hanging out at the craft service table (large canisters of red vines beckon when one is tired and cranky due to unending 16 hour work days!). At this stage in life, I am focusing more on developing myself and my talents so I can serve the world in the most effective way, while still nurturing myself in the process.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting people from all different cultures, and am pretty open minded. Thus, couchsurfing feels like a more authentic way to travel, due to the connections that can be made with others, makes one feel right at home, anywhere.
