Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Well, the answer is simple and I won´t say anything new. I just really like the whole concept of how it works. It´s not just about to find the cheapest accommodation. But it´s about travelling, meeting new interesting people from all over the world, and having new experiences. I really think that it enriches us, personally and gives us the opportunity to perceive things from other perspectives.. And since the time, I´m in France, I´ve realised that one day I would really like to live in the society which is culturally varied and not so homogeneous as the one in my country. Unfortunately, now, I´m not able to offer you my couch, but when I´ll be back in Prague, I would be very pleased to show you the most interesting places and have some good drink with you. :)
Music, Movies, and Books
-Oldies, Rock (all kinds, just can´t stand Hard Rock or Metal), Alternative, Indie, Jazz, Folk, Electro, old French songs..Arctic Monkeys, The Smiths, The White Stripes, Nick Cave, Beck, Alt-J, Glass Animals, Norah Jones, Nina Simone, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Serge Gainsbourg, Francoise Hardy, The Dandy Warhols, and so so many others. -Favourite directors - Leos Carax, David Lynch, Andrei Tarkovski or Krzysztof Kieślowski -Films: French and Czechoslovakian New Wave, Der Himmel uber Berlin, Stalker from Tarkovski and as for the more recents: Dead Man, Fight Club, Dreamers from Bertolucci, Lost in Translation, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, 500 Days of Summer etc. -Books..The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Sputnik Sweetheart, L'Écume des jours, Zazie dans le métro..
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn some other languages, probably German or Spanish. Even that the language, which always appeared to me as one of the most beautiful one, is Icelandish. But I don´t think that I will start to learn it - it´s pretty hard and not at all useful. What I can share with you? Well, I can try to teach you czech, if you were interested..But most people are not and I definitely understand it, haha.
My Interests
Hmm, where to begin..Meeting new people, Travelling with friends, Coffee, Book markets and vinyl shops <3, Being with my friends in our favourite café/ wine bar, Photography (I´m still learning), Cinema (I have wanted to study it, at first, so especially artistic and old films), The Modern and Contemporary Art (I´m actually writing my thesis about the Copyright protection of the Visual Art), Literature (especially the czech-born writer Milan Kundera, but also the books from Albert Camus, Haruki Murakami or Fyodor Dostoyevsky) and Some outdoor activities as long city-walking, especially in the beautiful cities as Paris, mountains hiking, swimming. I used to do a Jazz dance for a quite short period and actually thinking about trying it again.
