Calgary was once seen as a center of business with nothing particularly entertaining to offer, but that has changed dramatically in recent years. Now home to high-quality coffee shops, lively bars, and colorful boutiques, Calgary has become one of Canada’s best cities to visit. Walk down Stephen Avenue to sample some of the city’s best shopping and dining, then cross the Peace Bridge for an excellent view of Calgary’s skyline.

In the winter months, head up to Canada Olympic Park to ski or snowboard at the site of the 1988 Winter Olympic Games. If you’re here in July, you can’t miss the famous Calgary Stampede, a massive festival featuring rodeo events, parades, stage shows, and concerts. This is one of Canada’s biggest parties, drawing over a million visitors to Calgary every year.
