Be sure to try some poutine, a signature Quebec dish of french fries topped with cheese curds and smothered in brown gravy, and wash it down with one of the city’s delicious craft beers.
Visit the Basilique Notre-Dame, one of the most ornate gothic cathedrals in the world, with a famous, massive organ. Spend some time strolling the streets of Plateau Mont-Royal, a lined with Victorian houses and fantastic local boutiques. This historic neighborhood embodies the personality of Montreal itself, so lose yourself for a while here and just wander.
