I am an outgoing guy who fancies music, reading, cycling, and traveling. I spent days enjoying music, books, and am a big fan of foods: practicing fermenting, kombucha, pickling, canning, and more!

I have hosted surfers and have met surfers in cities throughout the USA, New Zealand, and Europe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Meeting interesting people from all over the world, allowing them to enjoy my home and have been graciously allowed on others' couches. Really enjoy everyone I've meet through CS.

Interests

SCOBYs, drum machines, accordion, books, plants, water, pineapple wine, bike. I have an interest in many aspects of life from music to the outdoors and from the arts to cooking. I fill my time with things I enjoy and with people I enjoy doing such things with.

Music, Movies, and Books

So much good music everywhere; Dovekins, the Beatles, Animal Collective, Everything's Alright, Akron/Family to name a few..

I enjoy many books and cannot begin to write a complete list of such enjoyment; albeit Vonnegut can write a good book, Bukowski nails the short stories and poetry. I have a fascination with E.O. Wilson who has written so much on our planet. Daniel Quinn and Milan Kundera are philosophically correct (to me) and I have recently gained an appreciation for graphic novels such as Dave Sim, Neil Gaiman, and more..

I also enjoy all types of movies, scary to funny to drama to old kung fu.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the North and South Dakota badlands as well as been to the highest point at Porcupine Mtn. Both were phenomenal. Also spending time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is worthwhile. Though Boise, Idaho is quite the place, check it out!

Glacier National Park is highly recommended to every one for it's majestic and untouched beauty.

Tramped many hikes in New Zealand and will forever be amazed by the kea.

I can teach you music theory and help restring or maintain an instrument. Or how to pickle and ferment foods, make kombucha, and so much more!
