ABOUT ME

I'm a guy who grew up in Rotterdam with two sisters and one brother (check my friends!) , but currently living in Amsterdam because of my studies. I studied at UvA for a short time but currently having way more fun at the School of Arts Utrecht (audio design).
The school and it's teachers are really amazing. I just finished my first year, a year where we could experiment with cool software i.e. max/msp for designing interactive sound installations or processing sound.

Making music is a part of my life too. It's electronic, but I listen all kinds of music. Check http://www.last.fm/user/pjvdv and you'll see what I listen to lately.

I live for two years in Amsterdam now and it's great. There are just so many things to do and see if you like culture..

I'm working at a bike rental in Amsterdam, so I talk to tourists quite alot.
It's a cosy one man shop right in the center, so if you're in Amsterdam, don't hesitate to come by cause we are actually quite cheap!

Last movie I saw: Der Golem (1920) (9june 2013)
This was actually quite amazing because Amsterdam based producers Juju & Jordash did a live soundtrack completely with analog stuff like synths, guitar, piano and effects.. Inspiring!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhike trip through Scandinavia with a good friend of mine (three years ago). Yep that was a good time!
Last summer when I went to visit my family in Tuscany (Italy). Really beautiful rural countryside over there. But most exciting was the train trip home, which was going along the Italian Riviera. I was blown! Too bad I couldn't go for a swim :) I'll go back this summer (2013) with my brother and cousin.

O yeah and climbing the mont ventoux with a bicycle. Never again.
