Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I started to use this app for staying somewhere free. But when i felt that I’m a couchsurfer i could not quit from this world. Couchsurfing is a kind of life style. When I host somebody I host their experiences, cultures, perspectives and knowledge. I like to have fun with somebody that maybe I will not see them one more time again. I have opportunity to chat with somebody who has different perspective than mine. When I host surfers we sing, cook, chat, watch, teach/learn together. Is there any other opportunity to touch the people’s life like Couchsurfing? So, why not Couchsurfing?
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen any kind of songs. I don’t have any special preference. But I’m studying violin these days. So classics are one step front now. I have a vinyl player as well. I can show my vinyls collection. Most of them classics too! I don’t watch movies if it’s not from real life or was not experienced. I like to watch some stories which I can feel like in the movie. 127 hours was very good movie for me for this perspective. I could not feel my arm for some minutes after watching. My favourite book category is self help. But if there is an interesting book I would like to read as well. Laurent Gounelle one of my favourite author.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I had planned to go somewhere for weekend. But even did not planned the place. I just tried hitchhiking and got in a car. My journey started exactly like this. I had my bag with me included some stuffs for 2 days. I had traveled around 3 countries and approximately 10-12 cities in 14 days. I had managed everything on the road. I did not spend money from my pocket except very very small amount. I had managed everything via Couchsurfing and hitchhiking. It was amazing an experience for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some easy cooking tricks. I had been Turkish teacher for a while as a volunteer I can teach you some simple sentences/words. I’m a good listener. I would like to listen interesting stories. Also I would be happy to share my stories. I’m an open mind one for learning. If you have something to teach me, I’m in !
What I Can Share With Hosts
I have many interesting stories to share, on other hand I’m very good listener to listen your stories. Cooking and chatting are not included in this category. Those are must !
My Interests
We all have different stories but similar mentalities. This makes us closer to each other. I love that. When I joined CS I wanted to stay somewhere for free. That was the reason. But things are different now, whenever I host someone or whenever I surf to someone I love to listen their stories. If you have sometime and open to chat, different cultures and different perspectives would be interesting to share. I’m working as data analyst, I’m a former finance employee so we can chat about finance as well. But my main 3 interest are, Listen, share, care!
