ABOUT ME

I am originally from Lithuania based in Denmark. My previous home was Copenhagen, but now I am living in a smaller town in Denmark.

If I had one word to define me, it would be DANCE. It is not only my hobby, passion, work, part of studies, it is ME. Read below to get to know what I dance.

On a mission to understand human mind, brain and behavior through my studies in Cognitive Science where I combine it with the dance research (motion tracking and qualitative interviews).

PHILOSOPHY

"Don’t worry about coloring within the lines or coloring outside the lines – I say color outside the lines, you know what I mean? Color all over the page; don’t box me in! We’re in motion to the ocean. We are not land locked, I’ll tell you that..." - and that's how I feel about my life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in London, Edinburgh, Rome, Paris, Brussels - all of these were amazing experiences.

I'm on couchsurfing for the feeling of freedom, the unexpected and opportunity to discover local life and outskirts. Couchsurfing leaves room for the daily surprise that colors our lives with long-lasting memories.

Intereses

I have a need to be engaged in various activities and I am always up for trying something new.

My current interests that I am passionate about:

I LOVE dancing, love watching others dance. Dance is not just movements for me - it's a spirit, passion and an important part of my life. I love Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz, Swing, Boogie-Woogie, Collegiate Shag, St. Louis Shag, House, Brazilian Zouk, Kizomba.

I like playing volleyball, but I am not a professional player.

I like doing some design with Adobe or Figma, some video montage. But I am just an amateur and I do it for my pleasure or some small projects.

I like being a part of organizations. During studies I belonged to ESTIEM and Youth Journalists networks.
Now I volunteer in different swing dance festivals, organize a Lindy Exchange in Denmark.

I am fascinated by the human brain and cognition, always trying to learn more and use the knowledge in my daily life.

Música, películas y libros

Music.
I like a lot of different music styles, but on `the top of my playlist would be indie rock, folk, (electro)jazz/swing,
rock'n'roll, different kinds of rock, 80's, house, afro beat, soul, urban.

Some of the bands: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, Queen, MGMT, Hozier, Crystal Fighters, The Beatles, Damien Rice, Katie Melua, Oasis, The Script, I am arrows, The Lumineers, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Benny Goodman ..and tons of others. :D

Movies.
I enjoy both funny and serious films. I prefer films with a deeper meaning. I adore Woody Allen films. IMDb
list's films are always a good choice for me. Incredible fact - I JUST watched Star Wars and I loved it!

Books.
I prefer psychological, personal development books. Professional books - anything about brain science.

I can teach you an optimistic lifestyle enclosed by some mysterious stuff, lindy hop or collegiate shag dance steps or some other strange jazzy moves. I can share what I know about our brain. Also, I can cook something traditional.
