About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi!
I was born in Opava (located in North-East of so called Czech republic) but for most of my adulthood I've been living in Brno. Here I majored in archaeology (after finnishing bachelor in history and archaeology) and I have been working in cooperative bar and vegan bistro Tři Ocásci. I finished one year long furniture making course after my studies. Now I'm moving to Iceland for a while.

Interests

I like reading (however compared to some of my friends I could be considered illiterate - I don't read as much as I would like to) - some of my favourite autors are: Snyder, Kerouac, Hesse, Bulgakov, Hrabal, Bondy. I like chinese and japanese poetry: Basho, Saigjo, Shotecu - but mainly Nanao Sakaki. I enjoy western poetry as well, but I pick authors to read quite chaotically, so I don't have any particular point of interest (well - exept beatnics and beatnic related).

I am interested in animal rights, cooking (I had to start cooking while changing my diet to vegetarian and later vegan and that's when I started to enjoy it), human rights and social movements (I am distributing food for people in need with Food not Bombs for few years now and volunteering in one antimilitarist group in Brno). I have visited few squats and I would like to visit more and see how they work; I'm interested in alternative ways of living opposing "our" current profit centered one.

While travelling I enjoy calm places overe those populated in both nature and urban areas. I enjoy both but more I appreciate moments of peace out of cities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cooking for refugies in south of Hungary in year 2015. We were doing it for few days only but it was quite an experience. We cooked houndreds and houndreds of portions - for many it was first warm food in weeks.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have approximate knowladge of many things, but I can do nothing very well. Expect cooking meat-free goulash. I can cook different goulashes quite well.
