Hi there! I'm Jorge Gabriel, I'm student of linguistic and literature at Araraquara - SP - and I'm living in Batatais - (Potato-city, but don't!), city of São Paulo inland, where I live with my parents at week ends. I think I can't describe me wholly - I'm such a nice guy, calm and open minded: someone who searches for a way to live peacefully and to spend its time thinking of it. The other part, who can say something about it are the people I live with, like my family, the friends I have and I make constantly... :)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Couch Surfing allows us to appreciate exchanged experiences between different people worldwide. Seeing a country through the local eyes is valuable and it touch our sensibility to something that almost everybody unfortunately doesn’t pay attention nowadays , that is to give time to people and take time with them.

I actually think I want to travel inside Brazil through couchsurfing by my own. I had an experience of travelling by that with a person who had a couchsurfing profile in Europe, so It was easy for me to just having to go
without struggling to research a good place with good people.

Secondly, I realized I don’t know my own country !! What a mess!hehe

But now, I got I want to pay to my whole decision in this journey – In a not-to-long future I intend to go to Bahia, Recife, Paraíba… we’ll see it

Interessen

I intend to make my studies in french semiotics through a master and doctoral program. So, by this, I like everything that concerns culture, trends, society, religion...

I like to be in places where is possible to make contact with the nature and wilderness. Sometimes I ride a bike through the tracks. I love it!

And I like to play guitar and read poetry. That’s the side I keep up in my solitary shell

Musik, Filme und Bücher

On music, I’m deep-rooted about it: samba, MPB, forró, bossa nova, etc. I even think the world must know what are all the styles of samba! On movies, I don’t have a favorite one, but I love movies with some actors and actresses like Elizabeth Taylor (mainly in Who’s afraid of Virginia Woolf?) and Gérard Depardieu (in Danton, Le Comte de Monte Christo, Sous le Soleil de Satan, Asterix et Abelix ). On books, I know enough the classics of the french literature I studied during my graduation, and I want to finish La Recherche du Temps Perdu one day of my life. I like the literature of my country and I like too much a book that opened my mind to poetry, that is The Bow and the Lyre, of the Mexican poetry Octavio Paz
