About Me

Currently roadtripping through North America! Hopefully heading back to Europe too. We're a couple who want to see as much of this beautiful world as possible.

Grant and I lived on the North Shore of Auckland with two cats (Rangi and Sam), and we loved hosting travellers while we saved for our own trip as it kept us inspired! Now it's our turn - the cats are staying with family and we're off travelling the world! We're pretty laid-back - we like spending time with our family and friends, and being outdoors (especially in summer) as much as possible.

We spent 7 months travelling round Europe in 2014/15 and for 2015/16 we've been living in Canada, working in Jasper, AB!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We want to see the world, meet new friends, and experience the 'real life' in the places we visit.

In NZ, we hosted travellers, and it was awesome! Everyone we've had have been friendly and interesting. If we can't host for one reason or another, we'd try arrange a catch-up for coffee/food or a swim at the local lake - just something to show you a bit of our area.

When we left for Europe we hoped to couchsurf more, but didnt have much luck with people accepting couples to stay. We did have an awesome weekend with Virginie and her friends in Paris, but ultimately just decided to travel without couchsurfing.

Now we've finished the ski season in Canada, we're travelling again and want to give couchsurfing another go!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming in phosphorescence in several places around NZ

Teach, Learn, Share

I can introduce you to the basics of Te Reo, the Maori language, as well as share a bit of our history with you.

If we have time and the conditions are right, Grant may be able to take you out surfing with him (in NZ only, we don't have boards with us overseas!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can make delicious meals to share, including NZ baking!

Lots of good conversation - sharing travel stories and discussing life, history, fun.
