About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Mission: to travel and meet the REAL people who are out there!!!

ABOUT ME

Have a wonderful wife and three adult children. I am 57 years old, physically fit and active. Enjoy visiting with people of ALL ages. Interested in everything new and different, consider myself a dedicated 'life long learner'.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No personal experience as of yet. However, have heard of great experiences from one of our daughters. Both my wife and I enjoy meeting people who live and work in the places we visit. We want to meet the real people not just the tourist sights.

Interests

Young at heart, enjoy outdoor pursuits, photography, art, woodwork, sports (golf, cycling, hockey, etc.), reading, movies, travel, cooking, and other people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy classical, jazz, and light rock the best...but appreciate most all kinds of music. Love movies, once worked in a movie theater as a projectionist. Books...many many on the go...history, philosophy, economics, some fiction but mostly non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had a hand in raising three wonderful, intelligent, independent children. I have also had the joy to have been a part of the life of many, many, many young people through my years of teaching.

Teach, Learn, Share

My family and I were involved in a teaching exchange to Scotland for one year. It was one of the most enjoyable years of our lives. We are still in contact with people we became friends with over 24 years ago. It was through this experience that our children developed their love of travel and people from other parts of the world.
