My current mission in life in to complete my Honours degree in Environmental Sciences and live my life!

ABOUT ME

Where can I start? I grew up in one of the weirdest but coolest cities in Europe, if you care to take the time to learn about all its complexities - BRUSSELS! My mother is Moroccan and my father is English. I'm pretty open to all cultures and people. Interested in traveling and learning. Though I cannot stand bigotry and extreme prejudice. As Bill and Ted say - Be excellent to each other! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am kinda new - I have been away for a while (almost 3 years) due to being hit by a car at 40mph whist out on my bicycle (OUCH!) ... but I DO have the legendary North African hospitality to offer (mint tea anyone?) :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have done plenty of hosting, and incidentally hosted many of Peter Werninck's guests as he used to forget they were coming! o.O ... So more than is on my profile. I have yet to surf myself! :p But hope to do some when I finally finish my degree and go an a well earned holiday! :p

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies that I love include - Brave, Donnie Darko, Jade Warrior, Gladiator, Mulan...
TV Series I adore include Black sails, Vikings, NCIS, Poldark and many more! ^_^

In terms of music I love classic rock from the late 60s and late 70s such as Deep Purple, Led Zep, Free, Thin Lizzy, Uriah Heep, The Stones, AC/DC, Hendrix... The Mission, Apocalyptica, Green Day, The Offspring, TOOL, are just a handful of the other bands I love.

Books - HARRY POTTER!!! The Traitor Spy Trilogy and Black Magician Trilogy, The mortal Instruments, The Dark Artifices.... Also love Game Of Thrones, The Millennium Trilogy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not having seen the quarter century yet, I've been to a fair few countries including China, Sri Lanka and Costa Rica! I've been on an interrail tour of most of the former "East Block".

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm completely bilingual therefore can help people with all things language related :)
Having a moroccan mother, and living in belgium, I know quite a bit about enjoying good food, with or without alcohol. I've friends who have various allergies so gluten/lactose free/vegan/vegetarian food aint a problem :)
I also want to do my best to make people see for themselves that culture, ethnic background and personal identity are interlinked but so very different at the same time - we're all children of the world!
I can also teach some cool home chemistry tricks xD (bicarbonate volcano ftw!) and all sorts of little "astuces" to make the best out of living on a budget :)
