About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel across North America
ABOUT ME
I have 3 grown up kids who don't seem to be rushing to leave home. So I thought I might leave and travel a bit.
I love teaching Maths and Engineering. Uni students are great fun. Some are disciplined, some lazy or naughty, other confused, and usually brimming with confidence.
I like bush walking, reading, sewing and having a laugh.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat others as I would have them treat me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My work mates laughingly say that I love everyone. Not true. I like to think I am a little more discerning than that.I do like helping people either as a teacher, workmate or volunteering.

Teach, Learn, Share
I do love teaching, for the people interactions and I just like Maths and Engineering. It is how I see the world and I like trying to help people see the world from a Science,/Technology/Engineering/Maths perspective and showing kids and adults, how they can do this sort of thing without having to be some sort of techno geek.
One of my favourite things is showing primary school kids how to make rope.It is a great way of learning some geometry, makes something strong from something weak, is quite relaxing (like knitting) and was invented over 14,000 years ago. Better than an Xbox!
