Sometimes I travel alone and thus I wanted to avoid misunderstandings about who is the one, that sends a request / message. I enjoy both sides of couchsurfing. As a guest I prefer spending time with locals, so that I can get more insights and first hand information about the country/area I visit. As a host it is always refreshing to meet friendly people from all around the world - we also can show a great example to our children to be open and accepting for new experiences and to have trust in people.
