Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to help however I can: I can clean, I can cook, I have babysat children and looked after pets, or simply helping with the groceries. Anything that can make my stay as pleasant as possible for both the host and myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have travelled in more traditional ways such as hostels and hotels, but the couchsurfing way is something I've wanted to experience for years now and I look forward to it.

Interests

I am quite eclectic when it comes to interests: I love reading and watching movies or series but the whole point of travelling is in large part to get to know new people, so I'd like to go out as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

A Song of Ice and Fire is my current top favourite book-wise, but I also enjoy chick-lit, romance, thrillers, and more. I'm a big nerd, so I can really get into conversations about anime, manga, or comics in general, and I absolutely love to debate ideas or canon. 2
On the other hand (hey, I did mention I was eclectic) I enjoy talking and learning about politics (yes, politics), as well as philosophy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was a baby, my family moved to the US for working reasons, which is why I grew up learning English as my first language. Funny enough, by the time we moved back to BA five years later my parents hadn't taught me how to speak any Spanish, even though I could fully understand it.
Which meant that I started first grade a few days after moving back, fully understanding what everyone told me but with absolutely no idea of how to communicate back with anybody . Despite the culture shock (?) I experienced, by the end of that school year not only did I fluently speak and write the language like any other child but I created an amazing group of friends as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to learn Italian, and I feel I can help with English and Spanish. Because I am a designer, anything regarding drawing or painting is something I can contribute as well.
