ABOUT ME

I’m a relaxed and broadly interested kind of person. I love listening to and making music, going out to sidewalk cafés, concerts and clubs, having discussions, beholding art, learning about different cultures and sciences, chilling in parks, and walking around the city and in nature.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe heaven does not wait for us in the afterlife, but that we have to create a paradise on earth (and the universe ultimately), since this is where life carries on. I’m inspired much by Renaissance, Enlightenment, Modernism and Sustainism (sustainability).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I decided to try hosting couchsurfers this summer, since I’ll be in Amsterdam mostly. My hosting schedule is kind of full already, however, on the short term. I would like to share my space with visitors, meet people from various backgrounds and maybe even see more of Amsterdam myself. I’m trying to work at some weekdays during daytime, but I have flexible hours. If I’m available in the evenings or weekends, I might be able to show you around or join you to some places. You’re always welcome to drop me a CS request or message.

I’m interested in cultural history, philosophy of science, sustainability, development cooperation, public health and information systems generally. I swim weekly, bike and walk often and also like to play tennis and do surfing sometimes.

I like many types of music, ranging from jazz, funk and electronic to classical, rock and folk, amongst others. I play some guitars and a little percussion and piano. I don't watch many movies or series, but I appreciate them sometimes and I like documentaries very much. I like to read folk tales, and philosophical and religious texts.
