About Me
Hi there!
I'm a 22 year-old Belgian backpacker, I took a break from my literature studies to travel, see the world and give myself some time before diving in the grown-up world. I first went hiking in New Zealand for 3 months then went for 2 months to Australia. I am now back in Belgium, studying again but still trying to go on little adventures in Europe when I have the time. Unfortunately I don't have room to host travelers in my student flat but I can't wait to have a place where I can host one day.
I am very open-minded, respectful of others, their culture and their home and always interested in their view on life and what they can teach me :)
I believe in honest communication, generosity, respect and keeping things real!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because as much as I love traveling on my own, I also enjoy good company and meeting new people with different backgrounds (I can be a little bit shy at first, but it doesn't last for long!). As I'm trying to find my way through this world, I find it very fulfilling to talk with people who make me rethink my opinions or open my eyes to the different ways one can live life.
I can't wait to get my own place to be able to host people too and give them the same amazing opportunity that was given to me.
Interests
Traveling, hiking, going on new adventures, trying new things and planning the next trip.
I also like chilling with friends with a beer or two, listening to music and going to festivals, reading, going to the cinema/theatre, watching series, day-dreaming.
I always want to learn.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: often on replay are Florence and the Machine, Eddie Vedder, Neil Young, Simon&Garfunkel.
Books: yes!!
Movies: I watch series more often. Friends and Scrubs are my ultimate favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Ice climbing in Quebec
- Canoe-camping in the Canadian winter
- Traveling and hiking in New Zealand
- Paragliding in Switzerland
- Surfing and scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef in Australia
- Saw two whales in Australia (a big dream of mine)
But I must say the simple fact of traveling on my own is the most amazing thing I've done. My first time leaving was togo study and travel in Canada, and it's that first step that led me into this lifestyle.
Everyday is an adventure.
Teach, Learn, Share
My goals for the next few years: learning how to sail, learning about permaculture, learning how to play the piano, learning how to cook real good food and learning German and Spanish
