ABOUT ME

I come from a very small town, and have lived there all my life. I am currently a student at Penn State University, and plan on becoming a high school social studies teacher. I have one more semester left, which excites and scares me at the same time.

A few things about myself: I am extremely easy going, and enjoy talking to new people and hearing of their life experiences. I would take a rural country lifestyle any day over living in the city, but I do love to visit (I am about 3 hours in either direction from Philly or NYC) I try to accept everyone for who they are, and believe that they should do the same for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a member of couch serving for a few months now. I have surfed in Chicago in the summer of 2009, and had a fantastic experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately I have not had the privilege to share my couch yet using the CS network. I have surfed in Chicago, and had a great time.

Interests

I enjoy all outdoor activities such as hiking, rafting, and camping. I love to run and try to do 3-5 miles everyday. I also try to hit the gym and lift during the week. I can hold a conversation with anyone, so I love hearing what people have to say about anything. My two favorite sports that I like to participate in are golf and bowling, but I love watching baseball. For indoor activities cards, watching movies, or playing the occasion video game is always a good time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a big passion for film, of all kinds. I believe movies are an indicator of the feelings of society at the time it was created. Some of my favorite movies are Sunshine, Jurassic Park, Memento, Funny People, Children of Men, 28 Days Later. There are too many to list.

Music: I want to go to Lollapalooza, so I'm into the scene of music. I tend to give everything a try, and like all sorts of stuff.

Books: The Dark Tower Series, Alice in Wonderland, American Gods, Y: The Last Man, Watchmen
