CURRENT MISSION To become a citizen of the world. Or at least get out of LA more often... ABOUT ME Hi everyone! One of my favorite things is to wander around a foreign city, making it up as you go. I think backpacking is the best way to travel. I like meeting new people when I travel, because they can easily become friends. A perfect travel day was a solo trek around the barren Aran Islands, then meeting up with some Italians on the bus ride back, going with them to a market and cooking dinner together in their hostel, and sharing with everyone who was around. You can't get better than that. And for some reason, no matter what country I'm in, people will ask me for directions. Maybe I just look like I know where I'm going :-) PHILOSOPHY I'm trying to find the balance between the realities of the career I've chosen and the global lifestyle I want to have.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I'd be able to meet up for a coffee or Los Angeles activity. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Only a couple of times, but I can't wait to do it more often! And when I lived with a flatmate in Dublin, my couch welcomed lots of visitors.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: thoughtful like "Gattaca," romantic like "Before Sunrise." Magical like "Amelie." Adventurous like "Dragonheart." Silly like "Heavyweights." Music: Country music, folk, Brit Pop Books: Too many to list. Harry Potter, Roald Dahl, Let's Go Travel Guides.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Stepped off a plane in Dublin with no job, no place to live, and not knowing one single person. I returned having had an amazing "temporary life"-- perfect job, a flat share with great roommates, and wonderful friends and experiences from around the world!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a pretty good cook. Would love to learn how to make traditional dishes from your country.
