I've been a CSer for a few years now and I've met a lot of amazing people through it.

I've travelled many countries, mostly in Europe, Asia and Africa and I've couchsurfed most of that time. I try to travel with as little plan as possible and this has always worked out for the best because it means i'm always free to let local CSers recommend the best places.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I love the idea of meeting like-minded CSers instead of cooping myself away in a hotel.

I have couchsurfed in South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa. All experiences were textbook examples of why this organisation is so perfect. My companions and I have been fast tracked into the local life and were given a much more personal experience of the places we visited. I have been able to do the same for some visitors to Nottingham and have made some good friends in doing so.

Intereses

I have many loves in this world and meeting new people and places is definitely the top one. I play ultimate frisbee and do my best to find local games going on wherever I go. My travel photography is a great joy, follow me at davidlukejamesryder on Instagram :)

I love socialising, meeting people out, and doing whatever seems good at the time. If someone has a midnight mission, i'm in!

I knew a guy called Takeo, he was doing a year studying in England when I was 18. Seven years later I was in Asia and had had almost no contact with him in our time apart. With only the information that he may be working at a festival around the time I'd be in Asia, I went to Japan and I found him.

In my photo section, there's a picture of me sat with two Japanese guys. I'm in the middle with a green t-shirt. Takeo is on the right. This picture was taken after he'd invited me back to his place once I'd found him.

I am an experienced surfer, I am extremely self sufficient, I don't need anything but a floor and can find my own way around anywhere but I always keep my schedule free to spend time with hosts, get to know them and share stories.
