About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Earn a bit of money (but not in a greedy way!)

ABOUT ME

I'm currently living with my friend Geoff in a little village in Somerset.
I work nearby in another little village (the one where I grew up).
Life is pretty easy going - well, this is Somerset we're talking about.... I love it!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is all about experiences and the people that help create those experiences.
Don't turn down too many great opportunities!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first heard about couch surfing when myself and my friend Mike were planning a charity car rally from London to Moldova, via the arctic circle. In a three wheeled car.
We signed up and surfed peoples couches all the way from Germany, up and down through Scandinavia and on into Russia. It really was one of the coolest trips I've done, made all the more memorable by the people we met along the way. I fell in love with the couch surfing ethos.
Since then, I haven't surfed anyones couch, but have had a couple come and visit us, which we never expected in deepest darkest Somerset!
As long as I'm not working, we'd love to host you and repay some of the couch surfing hospitality that was shown to us!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, all couch surfing experiences have been really positive, both hosting and surfing. I think this sort of thing definately attracts like-minded people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of music - metal, folk, rock, hip hop, spanish and latin, chilled out dance. Not necessarily in that order...
Recently read Steinbecks 'The grapes of wrath'. What a great book that is!
Catch 22, stuff by J G Ballard, Henry Miller, Marcel Proust.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel from London, via the artic circle, to Moldova in a 3 wheeled car, to raise money for charity!

Teach, Learn, Share

If you can change someone's opinion with a good argument then that's cool! I think it's always important to be open to new ideas and to be able to change your own opinion though!
