About Me

CURRENT MISSION:
To Explore Enthusiastically and figure out where I "belong" next.

ABOUT ME:
I had been living in Queens, NYC and working in Brooklyn as a public school teacher for 7 difficult years. But the pandemic put so much into perspective for me and I've cut necessary ties, quit my job, sold everything I own and am now traveling and taking things one day at a time.

I spent most of my free time in NYC at a pottery studio experimenting with new designs and creating functional art!

Before moving to NYC, I spent 3 years teaching English in Thailand and exploring much of South East Asia. Have also lived in Spain, Argentina and Brazil.

I love everything about good food, fruit, cooking, markets and trying new dishes...as long as they are Vegan!

I'm into the simple beauty of nature, hiking, rock climbing, writing, dancing meditation, nights on the town, days in the sun, anything that could be classified as "cultural" and of course meeting new people!

PHILOSOPHY:
"Don't ask yourself what the world needs, ask yourself what makes you come alive, And then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. "

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING:
I'm looking to meet up with people, host once I get a house, and couchsurf while traveling. I travel solo, so always looking to meet and have fun with locals because its always more fun to see an area with someone!

While living in Thailand I had so much fun hosting travelers and showing them my world. But now that I'm living in NYC, its difficult to host in such small apartments, but working on getting myself set up to host again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE:
Couchsurfing has made the experience for so many of my travels. There really is no better way to meet people, see the real side of a city and feel like you're connected to a community of like-minded travelers.
