One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting the Temple of the Holy Water in Bali. Balinese Hindus believe it to have great spiritual and purifying powers and go to for ritual. As a visitor to the holy site, I was required to cover my lower body with a sarong before changing into a different sarong to take a sacred ritual bath.

There’s a specific routine to be followed which I did but the formal routine is strictly meant for pilgrims and devotees. I was overcome with emotion as I absorbed this beautiful spiritual experience, by a ritual to clean negative elements that exist in the human body. This water source is believed to be the source of life, wellness, prosperity and hold magical curative properties. A life changing experience for me that I’d recommend for any traveller to Bali.
